Direct to Garment Prints Reproduce Detailed Graphics

At IMAGINE U, we use a Brother GTX direct to garment printer to produce highly detailed full-color designs on the textiles of your choice.

Because it uses aqueous ink jet technology, direct to garment (DTG) printing is the best way to preserve subtle color changes in photorealistic images.

There are no set-up fees charged on our direct to garment jobs.

How Our Direct to Garment Process Works

First, your design will be reviewed by our professionals to ensure it meets the standards for truly optimal printing results. If any issues come up, we'll work with you, your web developer, and your marketing team to improve your submission.

Second, if you're placing a new order, we'll send you a digital proof to make sure it meets your expectations before we begin printing.

Third, in most cases our DTG printers will hold the garments in a fixed position and jet printer inks into the textiles, so you'll get beautiful, long-lasting results.

Understanding What We Need in Your File Submission

The key to great direct to garment printing is a proper image file with the right number of pixels - those tiny bits of color that go into making up an image. Simply put, the more pixels the better.

Pixels go into creating raster images, so the more pixels there are the more we can "blow up" the image to make it larger without losing quality. (Alternatively, some images are made up of vectors, which use lines instead of pixels and can be "blown up" to any size without looking bad.)

In practice, images are printed using photos with a least 300 pixels per inch (PPI). This is a lot more than what you see on a computer screen, where 72 PPI images look just fine, but which will look blocky and muddy when printed.

Confused? Don't worry. Our team will work with you to get the best results possible!
